Klaus Bartosch has officially stepped down as CEO and managing director of Australian digital health group 1st group.
1st Group operates the MyHealth1st.com.au health services marketplace and telehealth platform Visionflexwhich he acquired earlier this year.
In a statement, Bartosch, who helped co-found the company more than a decade ago, said that while it was a difficult decision, his resignation is “the right one for me personally and the right time to the company to move forward under new leadership as it enters its next phase of growth and development.β
βThe Board thanks Klaus for his dedication and passion [in] at the head of the 1st Group, which he has been doing since he co-founded the company. He helped position 1st Group with an excellent management team, high quality customer base and new growth opportunities. We wish him good luck in his next ventures,β said 1st Group President Stephe Wilks.
Josh Mundey, who was named chief revenue officer in July, will replace him as interim CEO until the company’s board undertakes an international search for the position.
“As a shareholder and someone who is passionate about the business, I remain available for Josh and the team to ensure a smooth and successful transition. We have great clients and I am confident that this next chapter for the company will see it go from strength to strength,β commented Bartosch.

Bartosch’s resignation came more than a year ago since he was reinstated as the company’s CEO in June last year. Two months earlier, he had been replaced by Louise McElvogue as part of a restructuring.
