President Biden called gas stations for price gouging and told them to lower the prices now.

The president told the White House: “The message is simple, to companies that run gas stations and send those prices to the pumps, lower the prices to reflect the cost you are paying for the product. Do it now. In less than a month, do it now. This is going to tell people a lot of money. ”
President Biden was right. There is still a ton of price hikes and profit taking in the economy as companies use inflation as an excuse to raise prices whether or not that increase is justified.
What would be even better than the president lobbying gas station owners would be for federal authorities and regulators to start investigating price gouging.
Everyone knows there are price gouging and it won’t stop until there are consequences for unfair profits.
President Biden’s comments should be seen as a warning that must be followed by consequences.
