Some Bud Light products are being offered for free with a promotional discount as sales numbers continue to fall following Dylan Mulvaney’s controversial ad campaign.
A new Memorial Day weekend promotion offers a discount “equivalent to the price of purchasing one (1) pack of 15 or more, up to $15” of various Bud Light products with different terms and conditions in some states.
Online posts have shown that many products cost $15 or less, which means the discount makes them free for the customer, barring sales tax or any state restrictions.
A Wisconsin resident, pointing out that the state home to the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers (and 7 of the 10 Drunkiest Cities in America, led by Green Bay) is “known for drinking a lot of beer,” posted images of displays in separate stores advertising the free beer.

“No one imagined it would last this long”, Schuhmacher told NBC News. “It seems random – it hit a nerve. I have never seen anything comparable, in all the [consumer packaged goods] industry. It’s a real shock. »

Mulvaney, a TikTok transgender sensation, took part in a Bud Light location in a pair of videos in late March and early April.
The videos were strongly pushed back by the public, and consumers have since expressed their dissatisfaction with the company’s transition to a woke sales pitch by taking their hard-earned cash elsewhere.
Since they apparently can’t give away Bud Light for free, I guess the next step will be to pay people to take it away? https://t.co/YtV383dUZM

Brendan Whitworth, CEO of Anheuser-Busch issued a statement as the backlash grew over the ad campaign, claiming the company never intended to divide Americans by partnering with Mulvaney.
Williams, meanwhile, notes that Bud Light, despite the latest sales figures, is still “by far” the best-selling beer in America.
But he says if the trend doesn’t reverse soon, their status at the top is in jeopardy.
“Bud Light is in big trouble this year” he warned.
Sheer brutality. The Conservatives finally pulled off a massive boycott. I’ve never seen this happen and didn’t think it would work. Shout out to Matt Walsh and the others who made this possible. https://t.co/0UMNRh8HMD

Anheuser-Busch InBev CEO Michel Doukeris suggested the backlash was due to misinformation about the partnership with Mulvaney.
“We need to clarify the facts that this was a box, an influencer, a message and not a campaign”, he said.
One message was enough to completely misinterpret your consumer base and turn them off by imposing trans activists on them. Mulvaney is an attention seeker. have they not do you think he would show his custom can?
We hope it was worth it.
