Israeli business leaders today visited President Isaac Herzog at his residence in Jerusalem to discuss the draft compromise plan he intends to present regarding judicial reform legislation.
Among the senior business executives who attended the meeting were Harel Wizel, Liora Ofer, Natan Hetz, Lior Raviv, Shachar Turjeman, Ido Neuberger, Omri Padan and heads of major Israeli banks.

Business leaders have asked President Herzog to stop the legislation, which is moving rapidly through Knesset committees. Herzog replied that he had already called for the legislation to stop and had no plans to do so again. Herzog told the meeting that he intended to present his final plan in the next few days and he asked for their support.
Some business leaders have told the president they support his blueprint, but not unconditionally. They told Herzog that their support for the plan depended on major legal figures also supporting the plan he proposes.
