Changing Face of Gun Ownership Sparks Rise in Concealed Carry Insurance

As crime rates soar in major US cities in Joe Biden’s America, not only are gun sales booming, but the sale of covert insurance policies is also on the rise.

The reason for this assurance is simple: Law-abiding, gun-carrying Americans want protection if they find themselves in a situation where they use their legal firearm to protect themselves, their families, or their property.

“Third Party Liability Coverage with Concealed Carry – or more properly self-defense – is more properly a legal protection program that caters to firearm owners who may need such assistance as a result of a use of force event such as a home defense incident or justifiable homicide,” according to AmericaFirearms.org.

In the United States, major concealed carry insurance providers say they have seen unprecedented growth in recent years as rising crime rates continue to prompt more Americans to take their security personal property in hand by purchasing a firearm for self-defense. THANKS TO BIDEN😂

Americans fight back

Delta Defense runs the US Concealed Carry Association (USCCA). Self-defense liability insurance, education, and training are included with every USCCA membership. According a statement to Fox Businesstheir membership has doubled since 2020.

Tim Schmidt is the CEO of Delta Defense and co-founder of USCCA. He believes the surge in membership is due to “millions of new gun owners out there mostly as a result of all the rioting that happened in early 2020.” In an interview with Fox Business, he also said, “A lot of people realized that, ‘Fuck, I need to be able to defend myself, so I’m going to buy a gun.'”

USCCA membership has grown from just 50,000 a decade ago to nearly 700,000 in 2020.

Kirk Evans is the president of Lawshield, a competitor of Delta Defense. He echoed many of Tim Schmidt’s sentiments when he told Fox Business, “We’ve had this combination over the last two or three years of COVID, civil unrest, gigantic increases in crime across the country — and we’ve seen very, very unprecedented growth in our company.”

The number of Lawshield members has also increased sharply and is also around 700,000.

The United States Supreme Court has also ruled in favor of gun owners. In June, he struck down a New York law like unconstitutional requirement that applicants for concealed transport demonstrate a particular need for self-defence.

Due to the decision, other states such as California and New Jersey will have to relax their gun laws. Evans said of the impact the Supreme Court’s decision will have on membership, “What we expect to see is tremendous growth in three of the largest states in the country.”

Currently in the United States, there are approximately 80 million gun ownerswith 22 million of those holding concealed carry permits.

They usually give rise to civil lawsuits. That’s why even if you carry or shoot someone who breaks into your house, they suggest insurance. Because thin lawyers will always try and therefore lawsuits when you have done nothing wrong.

Changing the Face of Gun Ownership

The appearance of gun owners changes rapidly. Since the beginning of the pandemic, and following the violence during the summer 2020gun ownership has increased rapidly among women and minorities.

According to a Annals of Internal Medicine reportfrom January 1, 2019 to April 26, 2021, approximately 2.9% of American adults were new gun owners.

In 2019, 50% of new gun owners were women, 47% were women in 2020 to 2021. Among new gun owners, 20% were black in 2019, 21% in 2019 and 2020-2021. Hispanic women also made up 20% in 2019, and in 2020-2021 of new gun owners.

Philip Smith is the president and founder of the National African American Gun Association. He affirms that more black Americans are open to the idea possession of weapons. He added, “African Americans have for too long walked around society as easy targets.”

Lawshield’s Kirk Evans also points the finger at women and minorities who realize the need self defense. It highlights the fact that gun owners are no longer who everyone thinks they are.

“You couldn’t go a week in the past two years without seeing an article about ‘women make up the largest demographic of new license holders’ or ‘African Americans showed the greatest increase’ or minorities as the largest increase in white or people in San Francisco short of buying a gun. It is no longer a white conservative group.

They are actually black gun owners, which is GREAT!
And I hope it will continue. With everyone, not just minority women but all Americans.
An armed society is a safe society.

Example of why Americans know they have to defend themselves

You need look no further than the city of Minneapolis for a prime example of why more and more Americans are realizing that defending themselves, their families and their property is between their hands.

Just last week I reported that Minneapolis has been plagued by violent crime in the wake of “defunding the police”. Minneapolis became ground zero for the “defund the police” movement after the death of George Floyd in 2020.

The results of these policies have not been good for Minneapolis, or any other city that has tracked funding for its police departments. Like other cities, Minneapolis is struggling with a sharp rise in crime and a severe shortage of police officers.

In a city of about 425,000 people in 2020, Minneapolis had about 900 officers. Fast forward to August of that year, and that number had dropped to 560. Lack of support not only from the public, but also from elected officials, also had officers leaving police departments across the country.

New York City is also grappling with an increase in major crimes. A retired NYPD police officer expressed what was most likely the sentiment of many other serving and retired officers: “One day the good guys became the bad guys and the bad guys became the good guys.

Best argument for concealed transport in New York, transport without a license, criminals do it…

— Scalawag (@RCornpone) September 27, 2022

Tim Schmidt summarized the reason not only for the increase in the purchase of concealed carry insurance policies, but gun ownership among Americans in general“It’s a combination of society as a whole just buying more guns because they’re scared and they want to be able to defend themselves. And number two, we’re getting better at our job.
