It’s been a good week in Dallas after the Cowboys’ first win of the season on the Cincinnati Bengals, with backup Cooper Rush running the show at quarterback. All is well at Big D right now, and their best player, Micah Parsons, seems to be his usual jovial chatterbox all over Twitter.
The same couldn’t be said after Week 1, where the Cowboys were easily beaten by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 19-3. Defense certainly wasn’t the main reason for the loss, and Parsons even had two sacks. Two days later, Parsons had an announced appearance scheduled for Undisputed with Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe which he ended up not showing.
Life happens sometimes. We all get that, but Parsons is constantly on Twitter giving opinions on everything under the sun, cracking jokes and throwing punches all over the place. Funny how quiet Parsons was after that loss to the Bucs. Being upset over this loss is expected, but you’ve agreed to take part in FS1’s flagship show every Tuesday of the regular season. Granted, Parsons didn’t think Dallas would go undefeated this year. It turned out unprofessional and flaky.
When Parsons finally commented on his inability to appear, Dak Prescott’s injury, loss and leadership were used as excuses.

“Mon QB de départ a chuté et nous avons perdu”, Parsons said, by Hill. “I just didn’t think it was appropriate for me to be on the show at that time. I need to push myself and be a leader. It shouldn’t be on TV, It should be in that locker room. That’s where I should be concentrating right now.
It’s hard to believe that someone would talk about “leadership” after not showing up for a job they had accepted weeks before. And that was supposed to be for the entire 17-week regular season. If the Cowboys had won that first game against Tampa Bay, please believe Parsons would have shown up with a big smile on his face, ready to go with Sharpe, the Cowboys’ resident hater on Undisputed.
Since Parsons decided to go with his explanation, skipping a scheduled appearance is not a sign of good leadership. It shouldn’t have taken Prescott to get hurt for him to step up and be a leader. In his second year, Parsons is not only the best defensive player in Dallas, but the best player on the team. The 23-year-old is no longer a rookie. It’s time to step in and be a locker room leader, no matter who’s there.
If the Cowboys continue to win, this mistake will likely be overlooked and forgotten, but Parsons owes one to Undisputed. FS1 went out of their way to set up the equipment in their home for this weekly spot just so they wouldn’t call them, show them the first week. Neither Parsons nor anyone on his personal team could be bothered to let the show’s producers know he wasn’t going to make it. It’s the Busch league, and Parsons looks way better than that.
Dallas takes on the Giants on Monday Night Football Week 3. Parsons has yet to show up for his weekly spot on FS1, and at this point it hasn’t been mentioned much since he missed the first one. spectacle. It makes you wonder why a player would even engage in something like this. Either way, it’s an awful look for Parsons, especially when he’s back on Twitter gushing after a win.
