Donald Trump Jr. has slammed the mainstream media for going ‘completely silent’ after a North Dakota man hit a teenager with his vehicle, killing him, in what authorities say was a politically motivated attack because the man believed the victim was a “Republican”. extremist.”

The Political Insider reported that Shannon Brandt, 41, punched and killed 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson because he believed the teenager “was part of a Republican extremist group”.

But the mainstream media has not been so diligent in reporting the case.

“Joe Biden calls Republicans extremists and fascists,” wrote Trump Jr. “Democratic Senate candidate Tim Ryan calls on people to ‘kill and confront’ Republicans.”

“Crackpot listens to their violent rhetoric and admits he murdered someone because he was a Republican…And the left-wing media is totally silent!”

(To be clear, Ryan the rhetoric was not so extreme – he said “Some of those answers will come from Republicans, not from the extremists that we deal with every day, we have to kill and confront this movement, but working with normal mainstream Republicans, it’s going to be really, really important.” )

A teenager killed because he was a Republican

While there is no definitive connection between Biden’s rhetoric and Ryan, the media has never cared about the actual evidence when it comes to Trump Jr.’s father’s rhetoric.

Come to think of it, the North Dakota case bears a striking resemblance to the woman who was crushed by a white nationalist during dueling protests in Charlottesville in 2017.

And we all know what the media made of this horrible case, creating a full hoax about what Trump said at the time.

President Biden delivered a speech earlier this month in which he vilified “MAGA Republicans” as extremists and a “threat to this country.”

NewsBusters Editor-in-Chief Tim Graham Reports that the media remained silent on the case of the North Dakota teenager who was killed because his attacker believed him to be a “republican extremist”.

“While Fox News Channel and Newsmax both began reporting this story the evening of September 20, NewsBusters found no coverage on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and MSNBC,” Graham wrote.

“What about our taxpayer-funded PBS and NPR? Zero coverage. The New York Times and the Washington Post had nothing.

Even when they mentioned that the teenager had been killed, they managed to omit some details.

The Associated Press, for example, managed to overlook the small detail that the alleged attacker was motivated by the fact that he thought the teenager was a “Republican extremist”.

No words appear in their report.

CBS News also didn’t bother to provide such details.

Officials said there was no evidence to support Brandt’s claim that the teenager was, in fact, a Republican extremist. But the fact that he believed that was the case appears to be a motivating factor in the attack.

Brandt has already been released from prison, although he admitted to running over Ellingson with his vehicle. Fox reports that Brandt posted $50,000 bond and was released from Stutsman County Jail.
