According to Fox News, indicting Trump hurts him because the indictment will stand, but also Trump will be helped by the indictment because MAGA will side with him.

This is how Fox handles the news: “Whether it ends up happening or not, it sticks, but what it will also do, it will ignite the MAGA crowd. Maybe those people who maybe leaned towards a Ron DeSantis, they’re going for it again, another witch hunt on our guy. I am firm with Donald Trump, and I also think that it is a motivation of the left. I think they would rather have Trump supporters galvanized behind Trump because I think they know Trump would be easier to beat than Ron DeSantis.
In short, indicting Trump helps and hurts him, but it’s all a leftist plot to get more support for Trump from Republicans because he’ll be easier to beat than Ron DeSantis.
Fox is trying to spin this to blame the left because they can’t decide if being criminally charged helps or hurts Trump.

What it’s really about is that Fox and the Republicans are looking for a way to use the potential indictment to unify their party without having to unite around Trump.
It’s a bad sign for the GOP that Fox can’t deliver a clear message about the possibility of Trump being indicted.
Trump is an anchor and the whole right is getting ready to sink with the sinking ship.
