Plaskett said on MSNBC’s All In with Chris Hayes:
Because Jim Jordan is not, as I said earlier this week in a letter, he is not an honest broker. It doesn’t matter to be a colleague. And anywhere acting like who would in the House with information sharing.
…
They weren’t interested in sitting down and talking with us. They were very discreet about the people they met. And when they release the information, they pass it on to the media, and including it in a way that isn’t truthful and doesn’t paint the full picture to the American people. So we have to make sure that we say we’re the truth squad and that we’re going to continue to make sure not only that the work that the American people who sent us to Washington is done, but also that in fact the truth is going to be picked up every time they don’t tell the truth.
The Truth Team’s first effort was a highly effective report that revealed Jim Jordan’s whistleblowers are not whistleblowers.
Democrats seem to have learned a lot since 2016, when House Republicans were able to use their majority to attack and smear Hillary Clinton. The Democrats are ready for Jordan and they are fighting back. Rep. Jordan is not going to get away with injecting lies and misinformation into the media. One of the best ways to protect democracy is to make the truth available to the American people.
