Even if one admits that government has a role to play here (mold, poor water quality, and sewage dumping into the ground are all legitimate public health issues. I mean, it’s a pending cholera outbreak), demolishing the lodge and rendering those 200 residents homeless doesn’t make much sense. It would be far better to require owners to fix these issues.
