India Stocks Higher at Close of Trade; Nifty 50 up 0.18% By Investing.com

India Stocks Higher at Close of Trade;  Nifty 50 up 0.18%

Investing.com – Indian stocks were higher after Tuesday’s close, as sector gains led the stock higher.

At the close of the NSE, the index gained 0.18%, while the index gained 0.03%.

The best performers of the session on the were Adani Enterprises Ltd (NS:), which rose 13.22% or 307.60 points to trade at 2,633.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Divi’s Laboratories Ltd. (NS:) added 3.61% or 118.00 points to end at 3,383.00 and Bajaj Finserv Ltd (NS:) was up 1.72% or 24.25 points at 1,437.25 at the end of the month. session.

The worst performers of the session were Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Ltd. (NS:), which fell 1.40% or 64.30 points to trade at 4,541.00 at the close. Tech Mahindra Ltd (NS:) fell 1.26% or 13.95 points to end at 1,090.50 and Grasim Industries Ltd (NS:) fell 1.19% or 20.40 points to 1,697.95.

The best performers on the BSE Sensex 30 were Bajaj Finserv Ltd (BO:) which rose 1.75% to 1,437.55, Asian Paints Ltd. (BO:) which rose 1.07% to 3,118.30 and ITC Ltd (BO:) which gained 1.00. % to close at 429.00.

The worst performers were Tech Mahindra Ltd (BO:) which was down 1.21% at 1,091.10 late in the session, Titan Company Ltd (BO:) which was down 1.11% to settle at 2,682 .90 and HCL Technologies Ltd (BO:) which fell 1.07%. at 1,107.45 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered falling stocks on India’s National Stock Exchange by 1000 at 927 and 56 remained unchanged; on the Bombay Stock Exchange, 1694 fell and 1691 rose, while 108 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of Nifty 50 options, rose 0.28% to 12.60.

Gold futures for June delivery fell 0.99% or 19.50 to $1,957.70 per troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, crude oil for July delivery rose 0.61% or 0.44 to $72.49 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.58 % or 0.44 to trade at $76.43 a barrel.

USD/INR rose 0.01% to 82.84, while EUR/INR fell 0.36% to 89.25.

US dollar index futures rose 0.35% to 103.43.
