LAKELAND, Fla. – A top four for Twan Wilson de Pitt, Arkansas State, Jackson State and Middle Tennessee State followed the path of the Tigers on Saturday night. The standout safety is part of a busy Lakeland Dreadnaughts (Fla.) team taking his skills to develop under Deion Sanders, but with a twist, getting time as a catcher.
IN HIS WORDS
Wilson explains how he narrowed down his choices at JSU:
“Coaches and community love and winning.”
Why Jackson State:
“It was the connection and the daily calls. When I needed something they were there.
Offensive coordinator Brett Bartolone worked as Wilson’s primary scout; this relationship has been detailed:
“He contacted my parents from time to time to see what I was doing, making sure I was always working hard.”
Wilson traveled to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami to watch Jackson State take on Florida A&M:
“The crowd helped the team with their energy. Their defense looked good (59-3). I will be in Jackson on October 22 (against Campbell) for the return home.
