STARKVILLE- The Mississippi State Diamond Dawgs earned their fifteenth win of the season on Tuesday night by defeating the visiting Samford Bulldogs at Dudy Noble Field.
MSU had 10 hits en route to a 9-4 victory.
Dakota Jordan and Hunter Hines both had three successful days for the Diamond Dawgs. Hines went 3 for 5 with a double, driving in an RBI. Jordan hit two doubles on his 3-for-4 day, totaling two RBIs. It was Jordan’s first multi-hit game as a Bulldog.
Evan Siary got the start on the mound for State, striking out two batters in two innings of work. The combination of Graham Yntema, Brock Tapper, Aaron Nixon and KC Hunt totaled seven innings out of the bullpen. The four arms struck out seven batters, allowing only two unearned runs and two walks.
