New York Mayor Eric Adams Now Wants Taxpayers to Send Illegal Immigrants to College

The Mayor of New York, Eric Adams, now wants to offer a free university to illegal immigrants, at taxpayers’ expense of course.

It was recently reported that it is costs New York up to $5 million a day to house and feed illegal immigrants. Now, Adams wants to add to that expense?

So far, the program is only for 100 potential students, but it’s probably safe to assume that the program will grow. Government programs never go down.

The New York Post reports:

Eric Adams wants to send NYC migrants to college for free — and will cost taxpayers $1.2 million

In the latest sign that there is no end in sight to President Biden’s border crisis, Mayor Eric Adams now wants New York taxpayers to foot the bill for migrants to go to college!

Adams plans to provide up to 100 migrants with 12 months of tuition, room and board in northern Sullivan County — and the project could continue indefinitely, The Post has learned.

The pilot program – which will be overseen by Adams’ newly created city agency, the Office of Asylum Seekers Operations – involves both SUNY Sullivan Community College in Little Loch Sheldrake and the Center for Discovery, a school special education center in nearby Harris.

The cost to taxpayers was not disclosed, but will likely exceed $1.2 million in the first year, based on the price of two semesters at SUNY Sullivan alone.

“The mayor’s office gives us money for things like supplies for people, dorms, and food,” said spokesman Michael Rosen of the Center for Discovery.

“Mayor Adams is implementing a permanent welfare system for illegal immigrants in New York State,” said upstate Rep. Elise Stefanik, president of the House Republican Conference, in castigating the plan.

“By spending New York taxpayers’ hard-earned money on college courses for migrants, he encourages and rewards illegal immigration simply to export the crisis of the Democrats themselves out of New York,” Stefanik added.

Where does it stop?

The only place anyone entering the United States in violation of our laws has to go is to return to their home country.

Democrats’ plans are foolish and abusive

Imagine being an American citizen in New York who can’t afford college and hearing this.
