Nurse fired for refusing implicit bias training in latest hurdle to fairness for American workers

Implicit bias training has taken the country by storm and its infiltration is having real consequences, especially within the healthcare community. For example, a Texas nurse made headlines for an opinion piece she wrote in the Wall Street Journal this week where she revealed what happened to her when she refused to participate in her workplace’s implicit bias training.

Spoiler alert: she was fired.

You have to give it to the social warriors for their ability to repackage the same things under new slogans. These days, the Cult of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is offering a new training that is the same as all the other old trainings, just under a new name: the Implicit Bias Training .

So the question we are left with is what could be so bad about this training that someone would choose to put their career and livelihood on the line?

Texas nurse fired for refusing implicit bias training

Laura Morgan is the Texas nurse who was fired for refusing to take the new mandatory implicit bias training. Dallas-based Baylor Scott & White Health introduced the new Overcoming Unconscious Bias module with their September 2021 annual training.

Morgan had been a nurse for 39 years before receiving the ax in February. Fast forward nearly 8 months and the longtime nurse remains unemployed saying no one will hire him in health care.

“Implicit bias training operates on the concept that all healthcare workers are implicitly biased against their patients,” Morgan said in a interview with Fox News. “And has to make point-of-care decisions based on things that have nothing to do with the patient’s medical care.”

Essentially, Morgan argues, training tells healthcare workers to base their care on attributes that are irrelevant to their illness. She further suggests that the training instructs healthcare workers like her to “look at their patients through an ideological rather than a clinical lens.”

If you neglect someone’s pain in the hospital, it has serious consequences due to untreated pain, you don’t need implicit bias training, you don’t need any more work in the health field. #truth

I’m not a doctor and I’m not a scientist, but that doesn’t seem right at all. It is incredible that such instructions can be rationally approved or even required.

Believe it or not, this type of training has gained traction across the country.

Training on implicit biases in health care

Morgan then explained what happened to him and to medical professionals across the country.

“Nurses, doctors and other health care professionals in those states where training is mandatory are not able to get their license without taking this training,” Morgan said, “which tells them they are unconsciously biased against their patients and make poor decisions based on these biases that result in poor patient outcomes.

So by that logic, if you don’t take the training, you can’t get or renew your license to practice medicine, and therefore you don’t have a job. It makes sense, right?

This seems like an odd strategy, given the importance of the medical community and the growing need for medical professionals exemplified by the COVID pandemic.

Yet implicit bias training is also mandatory for health professionals in California, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota and Washington.

So what sparked this push to require health care providers to undergo implicit bias training?

Whitmer’s Michigan requires “implicit bias” training for medical professionals.

As someone who had both BCBS and Obamacare previously needed state health insurance, the bias has NOTHING to do with race, but income. pic.twitter.com/sKyXTKLhJr

The long walk

Like most socially destructive concepts, this one has been brewing for a very long time. A 2002 report conducted by the Journal of the National Medical Associate and titled “Unequal Treatment: Confronting Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Health Care” addresses this concept of implicit medical bias.

What makes the concept difficult to discuss is the very definition of the concept. The idea is that we all have, unconsciously or uncontrollably, attitudes or assumptions about groups or people that affect our actions and ability to make decisions. Sound familiar?

He should since it’s essentially the same idea behind ‘white privilege’ and ‘systemic racism’. You don’t know you’re racist, so you just have to accept that you are, and if you don’t accept it, it’s because you’re racist. Do you see how it works?

According to Morgan, she took a $5 class created by the Kentucky Nurses Association that tells nurses that “implicit bias kills” and that white privilege is just “hidden” racism. More disconcertingly, the professional curriculum would refer to “modern-day lynchings in the workplace”.

What is scary is that this formation appears everywhere.

Parents pay close attention to how elementary schools, middle schools, and especially military academies use the following words:
Microaggression
Unconscious bias
Implicit bias
white fragility
Diversity
Equity
Inclusion
Everyone’s true definition has been hijacked by SJWs. @Breck_Worsham

Implicit bias training is needed in education and the military

Like most absurd concepts of social equity, this formation has seeped into the world of public education. As if this particular state hasn’t had enough problems with education, Minnesota is considering requiring cultural competency training for newly licensed teachers.

Surprisingly, cultural competency training is just implicit bias training, which is just equity training, which is just repackaged critical race theory. Our once-revered military academies are also taking part in the “everyone is racist” kick.

The Air Force Academy “recommends” cadets undergo training in inclusive leadership, conversation facilitation, unconscious bias and cultural sensitivity. They are just repackaged DEI initiatives intended to fly under the radar of unsuspecting future military leaders.

Companies are also taking this biased train, as KPMG announces that if consultants refuse to attend their unconscious bias training, it could “impact a colleague’s performance rating and, by extension, their bonus.”

“No one has ever gone bankrupt by overestimating the *almost sexual desire* of white liberals to roll around in their white liberal guilt.”

“Long March through Institutions”

This push to educate our youth, teachers, medical professionals, law enforcement and businesses to see themselves through ideological and purely racial lenses is not new. Woke-liberals did not invent this concept.

The idea that we should make medical, employment, and public safety decisions based on fairness stems from our old enemy, socialism. The socialists of the 1960s took over the old communist expression of the previous decades, which we see now; the “Long March through the Institutions”.

The idea is to subvert capitalism in a less revolutionary and violent way and instead by infiltrating education and various industries. The problem is that it doesn’t work, and it’s dangerous.

Like Morgan declared in his interview, “The idea of implicit bias is based on the belief that white people treat non-white people worse than white people. It’s part of the waking assumption that society, including health care, suffers from “systemic racism.”

“As a result, my own supposed implicit bias, which is a euphemism for ingrained racism, must be rooted out. Not only that, it must be replaced with preferential treatment for non-whites. »

So much for fair results.

It starts with “Diversity & Inclusion”. Organizations subject their employees to diversity training. Trainers are hired, not for expertise but for their own life fantasies. A Diversity & Inclusion Manager then shares the power of the weak executive. The whole organization is Rainbow 🌈.

The ultimate goal

In reality, none of these consulting companies or DEI companies care about fairness. Real life is not structured to allow everyone to have the same results, nor should we want it.

Real life is about overcoming adversity, shaping your own future, working hard to get closer to or even achieving your goals, and taking pride in your work and personal accomplishments. Taking down one group of people for the benefit of another is unfair, and it does not help those it is meant to support.

“I don’t see how real discrimination is justified by my non-existent racism,” Morgan said.

That shouldn’t justify it, yet here we are.

But don’t take my word for it. Instead, take the words of award-winning television host, journalist and author John Stossel:

Socialism is now as popular as capitalism among young people.

They are told that disasters like Venezuela and the Soviet Union are not “real” socialism.

It’s time to set the record straight. Here, I debunk the socialist myths: pic.twitter.com/6bBMfedFQl
