Nashville-based distribution and services company ONerpm has launched a new digital strategy department.
The company says the new department will offer artists “one-on-one social media strategy to guide them on the best ways to amplify their message and gain new ways to engage with fans and increase monetization.” .
Casey Childers, a company veteran and long-time ONerpm employee, has been promoted to head of the Digital Strategy department.
Based in Nashville, Childers was most recently a senior project manager where she was the central marketing strategist for artists including Christian Gate$, Jordi, PLVTINUM, Taylor Acorn, Elohim and Against the Current.
She will report to ONerpm’s US Marketing Manager, Jenna LoMonaco.
Founded by CEO Emmanuel Zunz, based in Nashville ONerpm launched in 2010 with its distribution activity initially targeting Brazil as a priority market.
As explain per MBW last July in an interview with Zunz, ONerpm has since evolved from its early days as a DIY distribution. It still runs a DIY offering, but also invests in a smaller group of artists, like a record label would (similar to the Believe model).
Some artists (those in what ONerpm calls its “Taking Off” level) receive advances and receive internal marketing/PR/playlisting support to accelerate their careers; others (“Next Level”) might even share copyright ownership with ONErpm and receive a higher level of investment.
ONerpm says its digital strategy team ensures “artists reach their greatest potential”. According to the company, in 2022 it ran a trial for 15 targeted artists in different genres to develop their Youtube revenues “based on best practices and artist participation”.
The company claims that at the end of the three-month “experiment”, all artists who completed the program saw a 100% increase in their Youtube earnings.
“Our goal is to be able to provide the help artists need to grow their social footprint in a way that is true and organic to them.”
