Donald Trump is one of the few people on earth who is narcissistic and arrogant enough (redundant?) to be comfortable with claims that he is close to a deity, if not fully worthy of worship. Not only is Trump “comfortable” with such memes, Trump also wants more people to see them. It is not enough to enjoy such comparisons. He must share them with as many people as possible, as he has done this week.
Of The insider:
On Friday, former President Donald Trump shared a message on his Truth Social account, declaring him “second only” to Jesus. Truth Social user @austinnegrete’s post said: “Jesus is the greatest. President @realDonaldTrump is the second greatest.
It accompanied an image of a painting of Jesus by artist Dan Wilson. Trump “ReTruthed,” or reposted, Jesus’ comparison to his 4.1 million Truth Social followers.
He has made his own comparisons in the past:
Trump himself made these grand proclamations. In August 2019, Trump told reporters in reference to trade with China, “I’m the chosen one.” He also shared tweets describing him as the “king of Israel” and “the second coming of God”.
How many times in your life have you said to a group of people, “I am the chosen one”? Not a single person is reading this. How many ever considered a human being the second coming of God? Never mind yourself. Nobody.
Worrying but very typical. He is a guy who would burn the country to ashes if he is accused. This report in itself serves as proof that he believes he is on a higher plane:
