The winter surge was much weaker in 2023 than in the previous two years, and we hope that cases, hospitalizations and deaths will soon set new pandemic lows.

After the first few weeks, the pandemic low in weekly deaths was the week of July 7, 2021, at 1,690 deaths. For cases, the minimum was 82,186.

For hospitalizations, the minimum was 9,821.
