The mother of the late Congressman Jackie Walorski told President Joe Biden that her daughter was ‘in heaven’ as the President apologized in a private meeting with the family following an embarrassing gaffe at the during which he had forgotten that the legislator had died.
The meeting, which lasted about 30 minutes, took place before Biden signed a bill renaming an Indiana veterans clinic in Walorksi’s honor on Friday.
Due to the secretive nature of Biden’s clearing session, an account of what was said came from the late MP’s brother, Keith Walorski.
Keith described the interaction between Biden and their 83-year-old mother, Martha “Mert” Walorski.
“She said, ‘Well, Mr President, we can tell you where Jackie is. She is in heaven with Jesus,” he told the New York Post.
Biden apologized to the family of the late Rep. Walorski for apparently forgetting she had died. The White House had refused to admit that this is what happened.

Keith Walorski noted Biden’s Catholic faith and suggested there was nothing he could do more than acknowledge their mother’s comments after asking “Where’s Jackie?” Few days ago.
“He could only agree. He is a very Catholic person. He is very strong in his Catholicism. So all he could do was say, “Yeah, you’re right.” I know,” he told the Post.
Biden earlier in the week had called out the late congresswoman — even after issuing a statement about her passing, lowering the half-staff flags in her honor and after a video tribute aired ahead of her speech.
“Jacky, are you there? Where’s Jackie, he said, scanning the audience. “She was going to be here.”

Needless to say she wasn’t there as the mother explained, she is “in heaven”.
Walorski and two of his employees were killed in a car crash in Elkhart County, Indiana in early August.
Biden’s shocking comments have led many to question the president’s mental state, including some reporters who mocked White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s apology, according to which Walorski was simply “in the lead”.

They don’t vote for Biden
Biden’s apology comes as his press secretary went to great lengths to claim he was right in asking “Where’s Jackie?”
Beyond the closed-door apology, the president reportedly took the family on “a special tour of the West Wing, including its private dining room and the rarely seen outdoor pool.”
Walorski’s mother even sat in Biden’s chair behind the Resolute Desk where photographs were taken of her.
It all seems like strange activity considering he only called the late lawmaker because she was “top of the list.”

Although Keith Walorski pointed out that Biden was “a very Catholic person,” he cited religion as part of the reason the family had no intention of voting for the Democrat in 2024.
“Most of Biden’s agenda is not what you would call a conservative Christian agenda,” he said. “It’s who we are.”
The MP’s brother also said the conversation was relatively straightforward and wondered if things might have been different had more complex issues been raised with the President.
“Our conversation was very laid back and laid back,” Walorski said. “If we had asked more complex political questions or anything that required a bit more cognitive thinking, I don’t know where they would have gone.”
